Meet Sue Moo

"The class was focused on creativity, confidence building and strength, not necessarily on self-conscious beauty like many other dance programs." - Wren Singer Wielgus, Madison, WI

My Mission

My mission is to provide developmental classes for young children that are fun and non-competitive.   I strive to provide classes that will nurture their creativity and imagination rather than teaching them “how they are supposed to dance”.  My methods focus on keeping the fun in learning and creating a space that embraces differences in children.  Much of early learning is about building confidence to help children succeed in life.

Sue Moo has been working with children since 2006 and specializes in teaching youth dance and movement.

Susan, or as her friends and family call her, "Sue Moo", is a mother of two beautiful children.  She is a graduate of Winona State University in Winona, MN where she received her BA in Choreography and Dance Management. She has performed featured pieces by renowned choreographers and had her choreography selected to represent WSU at American College Dance Festivals across the nation.  After school, Sue Moo taught gymnastics and dance at The Little Gym of Middleton where she helped launch their dance program.  She also studied Early Childhood Education and taught at the Goodman Community Center Preschool for 4 1/2 years.

Sue Moo has been studying West African dance and performing with Limanya Drum and Dance Ensemble since January 2009.  She performed with Li Chiao-Ping Dance, a modern/contemporary dance company from September 2013 to May 2015.  She taught LCPD’s youth dance classes in addition to performing with the company.

Most recently, Sue Moo was trained in Kidding Around Yoga.  Kidding Around Yoga (KAY) is a style of Yoga that was created by Haris Lender.  KAY encompasses the 5 branches of Yoga in a clear engaging method.  A typical KAY class gets the children singing, dancing, skipping, marching, jogging, shaking, laughing, hopping, limboing, and storytelling ALL while practicing Yoga to original KAY music.  It is SO much fun your kids will LOVE it!  More information about Kidding Around Yoga can be found at www.kiddingaroundYoga.com
